Sorry, but I am having trouble with imgspot.com and photo sizes. I want to post a photo of my bike but each time I think I have the right size, it won't let me connect. So I am going to try from a different forum host. It appears to work in the
preview. Now I suppose I will move to the non-newbie forum
and make way for more members. Thanks for your patience.
Thank you one and all for the compliments. The bike is one of ten made by Bartel's and is intended to be a knock off of the XR-750 miler. Ha! A dirt tracker with lights, signals, and an electric starter. As mentioned previously, I used to race flat track 30 years ago and so when I saw this 1994 custom for sale, I couldn't resist. It is a 883 Sportster punched out to 1200cc. The forks are Buell, the rear shocks are White Bros gas shocks. The frame is a Champion special made. 18 inch wheels. Runs out at about 425# and has somewhere around 85 horsepower. Definately not a canyon carver or a touring bike but I love it on the back roads. I'm learning to lean and not put my foot down LOL. Seriously, it is a good short-run bike. I can stretch about 120 miles on a tank of gas. I haven't done any trips over 150 miles. At my age, that's just about right. Here's another photo of the bike from the other side.
Fantastic. I've always said if I owned an HD, it would be an XL. Mert Lawill is in the XL bussiness now a days. I guess he sold a handful of custom bikes like the one you've depicted here. Fantastic
