Etiquette question...

Something's been nagging me.

Tonight, I went to see a movie with some friends (Cloverfield, it was great) and I rode with one of the guys. We parked at the mall and upon arriving, we both noticed that the scooter in the next space has been tipped over. I felt pretty bad and I was actually pretty ...

I don't know if you're still looking for boots but I would recommend the Tourmaster Response SC boots. I realize I've said this ...

Little tip - I own a 250 as well - if your engine is flooded, starting the bike up with the throttle open will equalize the gasoline/oxygen ratio. If you can't get it to start with the throttle open, try closing it and see if it catches. If it doesn't, try the choke. Rinse and repeat. I have this ...

I haven't had any experience with snow, as I don't get there where I am. However, temperatures have recently gotten down to around 30, 40 degrees F, and that's no fun, so I can't imagine braving much colder weather. It might happen, though.

Riding year round can be a test of willpower and strength ...

Buying a helmet online: Thoughts? Fears? Qualms? Raves?

What do you guys think of this?

I'm asking because two days ago, I was walking out of my work, fumbling with my gloves, my keys, and my backpack (trying to get it on over my bulky jacket forearm armor) and I dropped my helmet. I'd like to get a new one, and ideally, I'd like to get the exact same ...

you will instinctively countersteer while riding whether you realise your doing it or not, its not something that requires teaching its an automatic occurance, if you want to go left you input into the bars what ever it takes to turn left and you will do it without thinking about it :)
This isn't ...

I currently own two pairs. I have a set of Joe Rocket gloves that I use for spring, summer, and fall; I believe they're leather. I just recently purchased a pair of Teknic Thunder gloves, for the colder season. The Joe Rockets are perforated, so they really weren't doing the trick at all. You know ...

When you go buy a helmet, buy what fits, not what's flashy. You may know this, but just for the record, higher price doesn't necessarily mean more safety - it just means more comfort, more options, and more luxury. I got an HJC CS12 helmet for around $100 at a local dealer; it's a good helmet, DOT ...

Here's one.

If you have a mesh jacket and you have a liner, always carry it with you. Find a way.

Because you'll regret it if you don't, which is no fun.

I know this is a bit late, but I also ride a 250 and it's the same thing over here too.

I believe this is due to the gear ratios - first to second is the biggest difference in ratios, if I remember correctly; as such, the revs will change dramatically. You've just got to get used to it. I still ...
