How about a Honda F4i? It's Honda's race-rep bike from about 5 years ago, so it's not as extreme as the current crop of 600 sportbikes.

I rode a 500ex for a year before getting an F4i and it's pretty easy to ride if you have the willpower to stay below about 8k RPM.

(back story)Well I've been ridding the 250 for a while now, bike had a used motor put in it because it fried a bearing in the old motor (it's a long story saved for another thread) The motor in the bike now is loosing/burning oil pretty fast, it's at the point where oil needs to be added to the bike ...

I've ridden a 500 before, even a 750 (that was a trip) the 500 I can do the 750 I'm afraid of :laughing: I'd like a new 500 and that's a option but I think for a first bike that I'll most likely drop or drop once in my life, I would do better with used.

when I'm grown up enough I'll move on from ...

but i'm not sure on that. the story behind it is. it was a friend's bike and he downed it. put it bck together but it's been sitting arond for about a year. it's at a motorcycle repair shot they have tones o downed bkesthere and do a lot of work on them.
