Well it's my first bike so i don't really have anything to compare it to. I just got it today so maybe i just need a bit more finesse, but even my more experienced buddies found it strange. i'll be doing more research tomorrow =)

Why is that? Just to keep the kickstand from catching on things along the ground or what? This is interesting

I picked it up today and it's a sweeeet ride. Far faster than i would have thought for a 250. It stalls whenever i put the kickstand down though, and wont go into neutral without the kickstand down. is this some sort of failsafe or is this a problem? Thanks in advance =)

Hey i'm looking to get in to biking this season, and have just bought (in principal) my first bike. A 1990 Yamaha Route 66 with 1,800 miles for 600 bucks. I just wanna check in and make sure this bike isn't known for any common defects and whatnot. I'm looking forward to hearing from you guys ...
