To the original poster......... don't buy a 750 or 1100/1200 cc bike. You'll always be wishing you'd bought something bigger. Go with the Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda or Victory. Look at the 1300 cc bikes or bigger, cuz you'll wish, on down the line, that you had bought a bigger bike. I bought a 1100 Aero,...

Just as an added comment on the new '08 lineup from Victory:

'08 Victory Vegas Low: 25.2"
These are both new for 2008. Go take a demo ride!

How do you post pics to this forum??? Notice you have a great pic of a 750 Honda. I had an 1100 Aero a few years ago, one nice bike!

Hello from Wichita, Kansas
According to protocol, I'm supposed to post to this thread first, to tell everyone a little about me......... so, here goes the boring stuff. I'm 58 years old, been riding bikes since I was 14. Mostly in the younger days, rode dirt bikes in and around the Wichita area. Graduated to a street/dirt typ...

Threads
Who wants to be taken seriously? Didn't realize these forums had "Protocol", didn't see anything listed when I joined it, but find it refreshing that there is something that resembles organization. Also didn't realize I posted on "old threads"........ just found a couple that sounded interesting and...

bikes to purchase
I'm prejudiced....... I own a Victory Kingpin. So, I'm heavily for a Victory anything. I've owned my KP since '06, and haven't had one single problem with it, love the ride, the feel, comfort, and POWER. The Freedom 100 Cu. In. coupled with the true 6-speed OD tranny is fantastic for crusinin'. Take...

Sparing
Hey Gummiente, or gummy bear.......... I don't have a frickin' girlfriend, I've been happily married for over 36 years. I was hoping we could keep this on the lighter side, but evidently, the truth about HD's seem to prick your good sense about being hospitable. Be nice or don't be. Victory's are a ...

HD Bashing
Geez fella's, give a guy a break! Sorry to those I offended, and those of you who are diehard HD fans. I have owned several bikes in my 58+ years of being on this wonderful Earth, Honda's mostly, and couple of Suzuki's, a Yamahopper, and my first new crusier, an '06 Victory Kingpin Deluxe. Bought it...

Heat Related
I totally agree, a biker that allows his machine to idle for 10 minutes without moving is NUTS. But, I think what they are trying to get across in the article is that it doesn't take high outside heat, nor bright sunshine to get the engine in the heat mode. Sitting in shade on a cool day will do it ...

HD Rant
No HD bashing, merely stating what I felt riding on my Bro's '08 HD Ultra-Classic Electra Glide. Lots of vibration. But, on the good side, it was a comfortable seating position, short handlebar reach which is good, and seat height is good (better since he lowered it an inch), although not as low as ...

HD's
Not really dissing HD's, merely stating facts. My brother bought a new Ultra-Classic Electra-glide, '08 model, and I rode my first and last Harley when he offered me a ride. Never felt more vibration in a bike than that $28K plus bike...... and I personally think I could get a better vibrator for mu...

HD's
If you've ever wanted an HD, especially the new 96 incher, just have them fire the thing up and grab hold of the handlebar. If that shaking and vibrating is what you want to live and ride with, GO FOR IT! Otherwise, ride and feel no vibration (or very little) on an American made Victory, or any of t...

Comparisons
With HD you get the built-in vibration. All others, no vibration. Worth it? With HD you get less HP, less Torque. All others, more HP, more Torque. Worth it? Some Foreign bikes (Honda at least) are assembled right here in the U.S. of A. And they have modern engines, with OHC's and multiple valves pe...
