Does anyone know of an after market dealer for 1981 XJ650 parts? Please let me know ASAP. A canadian dealer would be better but I'm not picky.

Carbs parts etc.

I wear my leather all the time, that's just who I am. I also ride every day, I don't need a place to ride to, I just ride. When I'm not riding I work on the bike. I spend more time with the bike than with the wife.

Good I feel better now that $675.00 is a fair price. I do my own work on the bike most times but the carbs I don't touch.

We only have one dealership in this town and they said they can do the work. When I called the Yamaha dealer they told me they don't work on bikes more then 6 years old.

I have a 1981 XJ650 and the carbs were shot, I could only get 79 km from a tank full of gas. I took my bike in and as it turned out they need to replace a lot of parts on the carbs. This is the first time the carbs are worked on so I expect to pay. I was told the bike will be ready next week and the ...

All I could find was 600 grit, so I got one sheet. I sanded a small part of the fender then applied rubbing compound, this worked ok, but not the way I wanted. I put some wax on it, and that brought it to an ok shine.

I will start looking for 1000 grit sandpaper on Tuesday and try this again.

I'm glad I asked the question or would have done it wrong.

What kind of polish should I use or do I just use a buffing pad with nothing on it?

I painted some of my bike parts, fenders and such. 2 coats of black and 5 coats of clear coat.
How do I wet sand? What are the steps I take. And do I have to put on another coat of clearcoat after wetsanding?
