1979 Honda CBX. Six cylinders of awesome power in a frame made for a bicycle. Going too fast for the frame, took a sharp bend and it started wobbling.

Give it the gas to get out of it. Scary feeling

A buddy of mine had a RD400. Wow. It was tough to keep the front wheel on the ground - even 2-up!

Use engine braking, downshift as required. You don't want to end up at the bottom of the hill in 5th, with no power, and have to start banging the shifter down to get the right gear?

2 strokes are making a come-back in dirt bikes. My 300 KTM has the weight of a 250 and the power of a 450. Plus, less maintenance, no valves to worry about, etc.

Re: The same reason as jet ski's?

I thought snow mobiles and jet ski's have the thumb throttle because it is in effect your brake also. Neither have a clutch as there is no transmission and direct drive so when you let go of the throttle you stop. As for the four wheeler I have no idea except it does make sense about the steering g...

Bike manufacturers rarely quote horsepower numbers (don't want to give the insurance companies any extra ammunition).

Dry weight for the '07 is 337lbs.

I would pass on any bike that the owner admits to being an "aggressive rider"!
