Is my plastic fender painted?
Is the plastic front fender on my 2005 Yamaha Virago 250 painted? Bought it with a scuff the whole length of one side in front of the fork. Can I rub it out? I have no experience yet with this kind of thing. Be gentle with me. I'm new.

Ladies: Overpants
I wouldn't wear chaps... I like my butt the way it is. :smoke: - so I can't recommend them from personal experience.
A pair of overpants that will cover your behind as well as your legs, and includes armor for the knees and hips (two common points of impact).

Just got my first bike! Woo Hoo!
Hey everyone! I just got my first bike. So excited! Got it home in a trailer last night about midnight. It was an 8 hour round trip after work (including a free pizza that the seller made for us - he was at work!)
Can't wait to get through my workday so I can take it out tonight. It's gonna be ...

Ladies: Recommendation on buying chaps please
HI!
I am brand new to riding and need to shop for chaps. There are a lot listed on eBay, but I am hesitant to buy not knowing the quality of the leather, etc.
What are the brand names I should look for? Or the specs, i.e. thickness of leather, etc.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Friction Zone too far out
Hi! I'm excited as heck, just got my first bike last night. It's a 2005 Yamaha Virago 250. The clutch engages very far out on the travel of the clutch lever. Is this typical of these models? Is there any adjustment other than the obvious free-play nut at the cable attachment?

Yes, I took the MSF course and passed
[quote="MZ33"]Have you taken the Motorcycle Safety Foundation course yet?? There are usually 250cc bikes of several makes and models there, and if you are interested in riding a particular kind, they may be able to accomodate you. You could actually learn the basics on the kind of bike you are ...

Mine encouraged me to ride
My husband rode all his life, but only had a bike for a short time during our marriage. Then we bought scooters a couple of years ago, just to mess around on. I really like driving my own, and have been begging for a bike. We both took the safety course last fall and I got my endorsement, and now we ...

"Our" first bike choice
My husband has ridden off an on most of his life. I only rode for a short time in my late teens, then not again until we bought scooters a couple of years ago. I have put a lot of miles on, just around town of course. I love riding, and have been wanting a bigger bike for a long time. With the ...
