Don't get me wrong, I really like all this positivity I've been reading, but I'm actually surprised that NO one has chipped in saying their SO has been a PITA when it comes to motorcycling

I guess we really should count ourselves lucky.

Mine is great also... on our 3rd date I took her on her first ride, got hit by a car and she broke her arm. she refused a car ride home, bike was not badly damaged. I rode her back home on the bike. today its 35 years married. she stopped riding on the back 3 years age. So she let me buy a new bike that I wanted to ride without her.
but her family still think I am a BAD motorcycle bum.

I could never get her to ride her own. and she has been all over the USA on the back,

She seems incredibly cool, and you seem incredibly lucky.

Mine encouraged me to ride

#27 Unread post by Thistleback »

My husband rode all his life, but only had a bike for a short time during our marriage. Then we bought scooters a couple of years ago, just to mess around on. I really like driving my own, and have been begging for a bike. We both took the safety course last fall and I got my endorsement, and now we're in the process of getting the scooters ready to sell. He's willing to do that for the cash to get me a used 250 to ride for a year. Then next year we'll get bigger bikes together. I'm lucky that he encourages me.

I'm in the same boat as Blues, no SO to worry about but they wouldn't become very significant if they didn't approve of my hobbies.

My hubby has been riding for years. I rode on the back when he had his shadow. When he bought his M109 a couple of years ago, I stopped riding on the back. No backrest on the new bike and that thing has torque!! So took a course and got my own bike last year. It's WAY more fun to go out for a ride now! 8)

My wife rides ALOT better than me. Although she quit riding a couple of years ago, since I bought my Rebel, I think the itch to ride again is getting to her.

My wife is great! :D
