Reasons To Be Cheerful
Let's have a good news thread.
1) Just finished another set of nights & have 4 days off. My fella also has days off at the same time!
2) Tis a glorious day here in Dorset & at only 10am it must be 18 degrees already.
3) The forecast is hot & dry all weekend
4) Just been e chatting with daughter ¤2 who is in Oz & having a blast. Can't believe she is already 1/2 way thru her round the world trip already!
5) Will be spending some time with daughter ¤1 over w/e.
6) Pay is in bank so I can pretend to be solvent for a few days.
So can anyone add some positive news?

Thanks to you, Total Motorcycle has reached out and helped over 105 million people since 2000! Last month we helped over 3 million alone. A huge thank you for making Total Motorcycle one of the sites you visit and for helping us help so many.

Re: Reasons To Be Cheerful
Hmmm, like Hondagirl and Gummiente, everyone on this forum is still alive. That's always worth being happy about.
Everyone here is literate. There are about a billion people who aren't.
Everyone here can read and write in English. A bit less than 5 billion people can't. (Not that English is better or worse than any other language. As someone whose first language isn't English, I'm just happy to have access to the majority of the content on the internet, for better or worse).
Everyone here has internet access, for that matter. Around 4 billion don't.
Come to think of it, everyone here has electricity. 1/4 of humanity doesn't.
Everyone here has - or is interested in getting - a motorcycle. Whenever I'm in a cr@ppy mood or situation, I think, "I've got a bike!" and everything immediately feels a lot better.

Re: Reasons To Be Cheerful
I probably don't have to "WORK" tonight. I'll more than likely be exercising my right to strike while on picket duty. Yes, this is good news, it means we'll be finally on our way to, maybe, resolving some serious issues in our contract...

Re: Reasons To Be Cheerful
In no particular order...
1) It's Friday!
2) The sun is shining, and is supposed to shine all weekend.
3) I'm finally getting over my bronchitis.
4) My oldest son will be home on leave... soon... (not soon enough for mom! )
5) It's payday, so I too can pretend to be solvent for a few days.
