Ok, so I've been playing around with the carbs the last few days trying to get something working. Yesterday, while I was playing with mixture, I finally got the bike to idle decent but the throttle response was aweful. I come to realize that the right bank isn't firing. You can notice a considerable difference in the sound from each muffler as well as the strengh of the exhaust pulse. I pop the pod filter off the right carb while it's running and ut my finger over the Starter jet and the right bank immediately starts to fire and the revs shoot sky high. I take my finger off the Starter jet and it idles back down slowly. Why is that?? Also looking in my manual, I noticed that the BS34 carbs that came on the XS400 had a main jet of 142.?. Remembering when I had the carbs apart, I believe the main jet said 135. I looked and saw that the XS360 uses a 135 main jet. I'm betting this could be part of my problem. The more I think about it the more I think someone has definitely been into these carbs before me. So my new question is, I plan on starting from scratch. Where is a good place to order a rebuild kit and all new jets?
