I prefer groups that stay about the same speed and keep the group together. If it's a rally with a bunch of people you've never ridden with before, this will drive you nuts!. But if you're with an established group, keeping a tight group shouldn't be a big deal- everyone knows the goal is to get you want to go in a timely manner. Also, there's less risk of cars breaking into the group and that kind of thing. If you know the guy holding things up, kick him in the A$$ to keep him moving with the group.
I went with "C Have everyone choose their own speed no designated stops and meet at the destination". I like the idea of being with a large group and meeting somewhere for lunch. But, I'm not real crazy about formation riding. I don't trust the skills of other riders for formation riding. Ninety percent of the time my wife is in tha back, so I ride very conservative when she's back there, and don't want to try to keep up with solo riders who normally ride faster or slow down people behind me. Even if you just meet at your final destination, provided that it's not formation riding, you will most likely team up with 2 or 3 other riders that you feel confortable with. So you most likely won't be riding alone and just be riding in smaller groups, which I think is safer. Once at the final destination you can all regroup and have a great time.

Abner, I'm pillion to my hubby who is the pilot of our FZX 750. Thankfully he doesnt hold back when I'm on there as I really love it when he winds her up
But I am so lightweight he can throw her round the bends etc, occasionally he feels behind him to check that I'm still there

I'm not riding fast...........Just flying low!
