As far as luggage goes, i have my back pack. I'd need a large tank bag, and possibly some saddle bags. I'm going to put together a price list of gear and stuff (including a better "procreating" helmet) and that alone will have a lot to do with getting out this year or not. I'd need to pack my riding jacket, the liner for it, my water proof pants/mesh pants (i'd obviously be wearing one pair at a time) my gloves, mesh and leather gauntlent (again, i'd wear one pair, other back ups). I should be able to get that stuff on or in my back pack. That's where saddle bags come in for clothes. And the important stuff (wallet, cell phone, passport, GPS, spare batteries for GPS, etc) goes in the tank bag with anything else i can think of. I'd also want some sort of water bladder maybe so i can drink something if i get thirsty. But that's not REALLY needed, i figure a gas/break stop every hour or two will keep me hydrated and energized.
Leave Friday morning (8 AMish, thurs is payday) be in quebec that night. Leave early next morning for montreal (sat). And the next morning (sun) leave for albany/grafton, ny. Stay there that nigh and mon morning, blast down rt 2 to greenfield area (old stomping grounds) and stay there until thursday or friday. Though i'd take from friday to (2nd) sunday off just in case of any setbacks or delays.
