who needs a 1000 anyway?

i've put around 300 miles now on the 750 since i got it last week. i love it.

the 750 is not intimidating yet at the same time, it's still a beast.

it can reach 60mph in around 3 secs. i could probably do faster once i get better. im still experimenting what's the best rpm to do a fast take off.

it can go up to 80mph on 1st gear. i haven't had the chance to test top speed yet. i've only pushed it around 120mph then reason started to kick in.

regarding handling... i can't give a good comparison since it's been 2 months since i lost the 1000 and i was just starting canyon riding during those times.

i do miss that extra boost that the 1000 gave me but im very satisfied w/ the 750.

so yeah...

do i need a 1000? nope.

do i still want a 1000? hell yeah! (if i get blessed enough to add another bike in my possesion)

i wonder what the design and specs will be for the GSX-R1000 K7.

Hey Verm, who are those guys standing by your bike right now?

:P Ha, just messin' with ya. Though I bet you probably did really look to make sure.

Glad to hear you're havin such fun with your 750. And it should be a testament to your determination that you STILL haven't lost your thirst for that liter bike.

the bike in always in the garage at home.

i brought her to work once but they have surveillance cams at the parking lot so i wasn't too worried.

i'll probably won't bring the bike to school again and i'll never leave it unattented for long so that means i'll only use it for joy riding and not commuting. sometimes, my dad needs my car so that's the only time i'll use the bike to commute and just make sure to use the chain and disc lock i bought.

im riding it like i stole it.

no, not really, im just riding normally... pushing it if the road conditions allow it.

i just don't care about the 7.5K rpm limit the manual suggested. i wanna try something new this time around.

im also trying to vary the rpms as safely as i can. i avoid cruising as much as i can bec cruising keeps me in the same rpms.

Verm, your bike was just rated best overall sportbike of the year by CycleWorld magazine. Most of the reviewers said they like the extra power of the 1000 at times, but felt it was too much most of the time. They also said the 750 handled better than the 600. You can end the pity party now.

chances are that i'm never going to get a 1000....everyone i talk to say.....600 @ most....for street.....but maybe if i start going to the track, then i might need a 1000....but even then, i think the 600 would be enough.

If it's a supersport, I don't plan on going over 600. The only bike I would get that's bigger, would possibly be a 1200 Bandit, but I doubt it.

Why? Prefer a more challenging workout? 600's dominate in the corners, 1000's in the straights. If you were to buy a track bike, buying a 1000 would be silly (unless, of course, it was a twin).
