first bike

hello, its a:
Honda : CB 550K - FOUR 1978

i read the top tread..just wanted to know what you guys had to say about this bike.

its immaculate and any info on top heavyness or...likelyness to drop it would be appreciated.

i am planning on taking the MSF cource

That is a good bike to learn on. It isn't too powerful, and was considered one of the best handling japanese bikes when it came out in '73.

These suckers only get about 35mpg, so don't be suprised when you have to fill up every 100 miles.

It isn't nearly as heavy or bulky as the CB 750, so I wouldn't think there would be any problems there (unless you are extremely small in stature).

I would still take the MSF course. It helps a lot.

its gonna be heavier and easier to drop then you think.
i have an 82 550...and in comparison to even 90's 550's its a heavy beast.
but supposedly these bikes run forever.

and post some pics!
thats a sweet bike.
