Just a question?

#1 Unread post by vcantey »

I was following a motorcycle to work one day. And I was wondering why they wave to the other motorcycles passing them by. Is this some kind of code? I was just wondering. I would like some imput on this.

it's just a show of commaraderie.

all bikers are part of one big family. 8)

not everyone does it though and some only wave to certain types of riders.

also, on canyon roads... it can mean that the coast is clear of cops.

are there any other special codes you bikers do? And when waving should it just be the driver and/ or the passenger? :|

 Thank you so much for your help. How does it feel to ride a motorcycle? Do you wear a helmet or go hair free? I have only been on a bike once. It was not good. The driver tried to scare me and it worked.

riding is a like drug... once you start, you can't stop.

im a newbie myself. only started last january but im so hooked into it.

and yes, i always wear riding gear when ride and i strongly suggest you do the same should you decide to get in to riding.

i did ride w/o a helmet but that was when i move from one school parking lot to another school parking. don't ride in public streets and highways w/o one even if your state laws don't require it.

also, if you're gonna be doing stunts.... wear full gear even if you stunt on a parking lot.

It doesn't matter. Wave to who you'd like to wave to, passenger or rider. There's no "rule" that says you have to.
