I used to have problems with my old bike not completely tripping the sensor, but with the new one, it's been ok. In the bank drive thru everything echoes like hell and I have an obnoxious set of pipes on the VTX so I do the polite thing and shut it down while conducting business and then roll it out a bit before firing it back up.

Fast food & Bikes
well all I got to say is that when I was able to go to a Fast Food Place and get food on my bike it was easy but I have not been able to do either one in a while but I will be able to do it all here in a few months when I get back to the Land of Fast food and Bikes.

i have gotten money from the ATM on my bike (also a school-bus-yellow 2006 ninjette 250) i just popped it in neutral and put the kickstand down while i stood to get my wallet out. make sure to get your wallet all the way back into your pocket before pulling out. i want to try the fast food drive thru but i have not yet. i am never going someplace else to eat and i cant eat and ride at the same time (anyone who has ever ridden a ninjette can tell you you get some experience shifting gears up and down)
maybe i'll try it for lunch one day this week and just come back to the office to eat? now im curious. good thread.

just did this the other day at Taco Bell. it was a bit of a pain fumbling with money and such, but easier than going inside. put my burrito in the bag on my sissybar and it didn't get cold in the 5 minutes it took me to get home. Think the drive through guys thought i was insane though heh.

I found it takes some planning. I don't have saddlebags so I bring my school bag. As was said above, the hardest park for me is trying to get the money out of my pocket with the gloves on. I could take the gloves off, screw with the money, swing my book bag around, worry about the soda spilling, worry about dropping the bike as I lean over to get the food.... then I just decide to pull over and eat inside.

An ash tray for the bike, thats a new one to me. How could you possibly smoke with a full face helmet.
I do drive thru on the bike. Its simple, I remove my right glove and unzip my jacket to pay. After the change in returned to my pocket, I put the glove back on. When they had me my bag (no drinks) I put it inside my jacket, zip up and take off. I live only a few minutes from all the various fast food places, so the food is hot and fresh when I get home.
My wife wanted a pot-pie from KFC once. I started to gear up, and she says what is this thing when you get back? It arrived in perfect condition, stayed right side up in my jacket the whole time.
