here in CA, i see a lot of sport riders that don't wear full gear regardless of the brand of bikes they have.XM23 wrote:What is it with squids and gixxers anyway? In my neck of the woods, probably >90% of the squids are on gixxers.
Maybe Suzuki needs a new slogan: "Gixxer: choice of a squid generation".

It's the same reason everyone underage drinks Smirnoff around here. Brand name recognition. When you don't know what you should be buying (haven't looked around the store) you just ask for whatever you know about. And Schmirnoff + Crown Royal are the most advertised. Next to Bailey's.XM23 wrote:What is it with squids and gixxers anyway? In my neck of the woods, probably >90% of the squids are on gixxers.

Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

It's a medium priced vodka that is advertised a lot.

Funny thing is that Suzuki is the only maker who advertises their supersport/superbike line as being "not for beginners." So maybe the squids just want to prove them wrongXM23 wrote:What is it with squids and gixxers anyway? In my neck of the woods, probably >90% of the squids are on gixxers.
