pants

#1 Unread post by ninja79 »

What do you guys think of these pants? From what I read, they'll probably be too hot for LA weather....

Argh! Looks like I'll be sticking with phoenix pants a while longer...

define too hot, i have textile pants and they are fine. A little warmer than comfortable sure, but id rather be hot and safe than cool and unsafe. Sweat will wipe off, road rash wont, just keep that in mind. And those are better than full leather pants, and again, they have decent ventalation

well, for sheer protection leather trumps all, but here in LA, leather is way to damn hot, so textile is the next best. I would wear textile even if i wasent in LA probably becuase of how uncomfortable and hard to wear the leather pants are, but even her i own a pair for when i would go for some more challening runs like canyon riding for instance, but the comfort, coolness and practicality of textile put it at #1 for me

I have the tourmaster jean pant which is essentially the same as that, but not designed to easily get out of without taking off your boots. They are a bit large for me and I've already tried wearing pants underneath them. I've worn them in the 80* range and they were getting a bit hot. I don't think they'd do too good higher than 90*

got these on a closeout($140) from newenough.com. great company to deal with. pants have a removable liner too, zip all the way up on the sides, has 3 pockets and are very comfortable.

edit: they might look kinda shiny in the pics but they arent, they look great as well.
