I've got dozens of grey hairs, which is depressing at 23. My grandad passed away this year, which came out of left field and made me realize how much it sucks to be getting older.

If it't not the age but the mileage that counts....then I'm a 1980 pinto =)

i felt old the other day.

one of the folks in the office has the Muppet Show theme on their cel phone.
It rang and i laughed, remembering the show.

the intern asked me why i was laughing, i asked don't you recognize the song?

apparently he had never heard it before

I always feel old whenever I go to the mall and see High Schoolers wearing lettered jackets with an 07' on it. That's like 16 years ago when I graduated from H.S. I could be their DAD! That makes me feel old.

I'm 34.

I didn't realize... I figured that you just weren't talking about your gigs lately. Folks think that only the rich and famous suffer under the stress of being in the entertainment field, but it's a rough road for anyone. And when you're in a band that has to travel a lot, and you're not making celebrity pay, the stress, I'm sure, can be a lot to handle. Glad to hear that you've made peace with your decision and that this is something you view in a positive way. Your family must appreciate it too.

Cheers,
Loonette

My 10 year reunion for HS will be next year, and next week I turn 27. I don't feel old, but I do find myself wondering how I got to this age so quickly....which is something that I hear lots of "older" folks saying, so there you go.

50 years old. Started getting a real short hair cut this year 'cause so much hair is gone on top, I don't want the rest to look like a comb-over. Beard is pretty much white, temples are white, there's a little brown hair on top (where there's any left!) Started wearing bifocals a few years ago. Having trouble seeing in the dark. Had a flat tire last night, couldn't see well enough to figure out how to release the spare in the trunk! I pretty much avoid riding unfamiliar roads in the dark.

Taking care of my 87-year-old father now, so am getting a daily first-hand lesson on where this is all going.

Heard a good one the other day: "you never hear anyone say on their deathbed, 'my only regret is that I didn't spend more time in the office working'" :)

Screw work. Let's go riding!

I'm 29-years-old, and to be quite honest I still feel pretty young. I have noticed lately that today's teens often have no idea what I'm talking about when I mention music or TV shows from "my era", but for the most part I feel just as welcome hanging out with my nephews and my kids as I do talking to people my parents' age. I guess I'm sorta stuck in the middle for now.
