if that bum wasnt some pampered sports hero you would not hear all this concern over helmets.how much fuss does the press make when a poor nobody gets his head cracked up in a motorcycle crash.

Send that writer a letter... I did...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear Mr. McRae,
Please see the Hurt Report. You'll see that the majority of motorcycle accidents are caused, not by motorcycles, but by car drivers failing to yield the Right of Way to the motorcycles. What about the soccer mom with a car full of kids screaming and yelling in the back of her SUV, who's yakking on the cell phone during rush hour, in a hurry to get home and cook dinner? Is she an idiot too? Look at the stats that show how many of them crash and report on that. To lump all cyclists into the same category as one stupid rider is like lumping all journalists into a category of being intelligent... Since you don't fit into that category, that would be an absurd assumption. I appreciate you have a right to your opinion, but your facts should be correct before you go spouting off because a hero was injured. He should've been wearing ALL his safety gear... not just a helmet, but helmet, armoured jacket, gloves, boots and preferably some armoured pants. He should've had a license. He should've been more careful than he was. And YOU should've dug a little deeper to see that riders are not as dangereous as little Suzie soccer-mom. Idiot!
Mike T.
Hehhe, great reply. I do think this journallist is completely out of his mind thinking that all motorcyclists don't think about safety above all else. I mean, while the armor and helmet etc... look pretty damn awesome, i wouldn't ride without them. getting into one accident was proof enough that it all works and there's no reason to ride without.
Another Idiot.
You said it /\ best.
My wife is a mini-van driving soccer mom and is in her 13th year of riding. First you give the guy hell for perpetuating stereo types, and then illustrate your point with your own. Seems the world is full of idiots :laughing:
Thanks for pointing that out... You noticed that I signed it "Another Idiot."
If your wife is battling rush hour traffic with a car full of kids while in a hurry to get home to cook you dinner, and she's yaking on the cell...
Whatever...
Mr. Mikedude,
You seem to be missing the irony in your letter. To lump all "soccer moms" in with "one moronic mommy" makes you no more intelligent that the journalist you are scorning. I really don't care about your statement and am not personally offended in any way, I just find it hillarious.
I imagine that you never rode in a car when you were a kid either :mrgreen:
Leave it to the Mounties to comment upon idiocy?
...
Are they allowed to carry guns yet? Or are we back in the Feudal Age with bows and arrows and perhaps a good ol' fashioned jousting match, complete with a red knight (mounty) and a green knight (bad america) and a damsel in distress (world)?
:horse:
:laughing:
Or, HEY! How 'bout that health care system, eh? EH?
...O Canada! O Canada, our home and native land. True patriot love, and all......
George: Shut up Lenny, you're too stupid for a dog.
