the ninjette is an wesme bike- you can see every one on here who owns one will highly recomend it.
i love mine. i plan to keep it even when i get a bigger bike because its so damn fun.
if our oppinions arent enough to sway you, there are whole clubs of people who are obscessive about the little ninja-

some people put bigger windshields on them and tor with them because the comfortable riding position and great fuel economy.
some people race them (against other 250's)
a lot of people who have bigger bikes (esp hump-the-tank supersports) get them for around town went they dont need 170hp or to be doing 130 in second gear
the only person who told me not to get one was the guy at the stealership mad about missing out on some comission for selling me such an inexpensve bike.
good luck.

Hmm I'd look into the pricing of that bike, because my 2004 Ninja 500 w/ 3500 miles on it cost that much, so I'd tend to think the 250 would cost less. Of course I'm a newb too so I might not know what I'm talking about.TripleB wrote: It's super cheap ($3000)

70 mph - that's like about 100 kph - Hell No!!! I'm in 4the gear there and still have 2 gears to go.

Ya right,
there are only 2 kinds of bikes: It's a Ninja... look that one's a Harley... oh there's a Ninja... Harley...Ninja...

I can attest to this, I've jinked from 100-130 and she stuck right with me the whole way.KarateChick wrote:70 mph - that's like about 100 kph - Hell No!!! I'm in 4the gear there and still have 2 gears to go.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

130 kmh I presume which is about 80MPH. Anyways from what I've heard the ninja is a good bike, I've never actually riden one before though.Sevulturus wrote:I can attest to this, I've jinked from 100-130 and she stuck right with me the whole way.KarateChick wrote:70 mph - that's like about 100 kph - Hell No!!! i love my ninja 250! i started out as a total newb and got it before i took the msf. I practiced around on it and learned how to ride without any prior experience, and it is very very newb friendly. It is also a very forgiving bike, because I know I probably made a ton of mistakes that on any other bike would have resulted in a faceplant in the cement.
It's powerful enough for what you want to do and more, good price, good everything..you can't go wrong
