Hello from a new girl in Wisconsin

#1 Unread post by SilveradoGirl »

Hi everyone, long time lurker, figured I may as well say hello.

I took the MSF course last May as a 30th b-day gift to myself! I grew up with my dad and brother always riding, and I have always been into motorsports. I ride snowmobiles, atv's, dirtbikes, personal watercraft.....just never did the legal thing and got a license to ride on the road. Not sure if it was a mini-mid-life crisis or what, but I am sure glad I did!! Shortly after I completed my course my boyfriend decided he had to get his license too, (wasn't gonna have a GF who rode if he didn't). He bought a 1992 Honda Nighthawk 750 shortly after his class and loves it. I tried it out, but it was just too tall for me. I waited patienly and rode my dad's old beater around practicing. I knew I'd find the perfect bike, and this spring I did!!

Just a few weeks ago I bought a Yamaha Silverado. My bike is awesome and now we can ride together....As soon as he gets his butt home from work today we are going out, so I better get ready...just wanted to say hello, and will be seeing more of you guys in the future I hope!

Congrats on getting that Silverado! Those are beautiful bikes. Which one did you get? the V-star 650, 1100 or the Road Star?

I just want to let you know this is not your midlife crisis, because at 39 I'm having mine and you're too young. 8) Maybe pre-midlife crisis then.

Beautiful family of bikes the Yamaha cruisers. I'm sure you'll get years of joy out of your bike. Unless you're like some of us here, then this will be the first in many bikes to see your stable.

Welcome, keep us posted, and ride safe.
