Creating MC parking spaces

I get to add a nice large motorcycle only parking area on one of our new hotel projects. First time my boss had ever heard of the idea, he likes it, I think I shall add them to other sites as well. Anyone know the site plan designation most commonly used to show this? I was gonna show it with the lines and "MC" in the center, like for handicapped spaces.

No one will know what MC is....I'd draw a picture of a bike and write 'motorcycles only' below it.

Well no one is going to be able to fit their bikes into that.

Be nice and specify that they make that area concrete and not blacktop.

I've seen a couple that are surrounded by poles with an entrance for the bikes so that cars cant get in.

When i was in university the bike only area had those small concrete curbs surrounding it and there was a few open spaces, big enought to get the bike though but not cars as stated above.

That'll be the best way to keep cars out.

My building has four different areas designated, and they help out a lot. They use the curbs like mentioned before. There's no need for a sign. It's fairly obvious what the areas are for.

Oh! And put real compact car parking too. All compact car parking is usually same size as regular. A mall around here has compact - real compact for hondas and minis and toyotas...so the SUVs end up parking farther back.

I totally disagree with that! Then again, I drive a truck and live in Texas where every other vehicle is a truck. That wouldn't go over too well here.
