Nope! I finish night-shift friday morning so I should be in for friday afternoon! I wonder why the VFR never made the cut? My top prospect and the one model that Honda seems not to have sold out of and it's not even up for a demo.....

I didn't mean no one ever has sportsbikes for demos. I only was reporting that there were no sportsbikes at the Goldwing homecoming demo. Sorry if I sounded like I was talking about all demo rides. I have only ever been to one.

No worries Dave. I guess the demo that you went to was a little more model specific than the ones I've been to. I was actually somewhat disappointed because the selection of non-sportbikes at the demos I attended was rather anaemic. I would have liked to have tried out something like an FJR, ST or VFR rather than a large displacement cruiser. You won't get me to demo a 600cc+ sportbike. I know I don't have the skills to handle it, nor do I like the riding position.

I have been to the BMW dealer here about three times in th e past two weeks, looking at a new dualsport gs. Each time the dealer has asked me if I want to take it for a half hour drive and I have declined. He told me, after some discussion, that part of a dealers agreement with BMW was that they will always have bikes available for demo purposes. They had one 650GS there that was marked down $500 because it happened to be a demo. I have been mighty tempted. I is thinking I might let that temptation lure me in. Got him down to where it is a better deal for me to trade rather than to sell and buy outright because of the taxes and the way the government deals with them. Whoo Hoo, nothing like being old and foolish..... Figure if I don't do it now then I won't be doing it. :?
