HELLO FROM OHIO THE BUCKEYE STATE

#1 Unread post by xsyamahadg »

Cheers from the great state of Ohio ! My screen name is Xsyamahadg, the name comes from the fact that I'm a dyed in the wool Yamaha fan and I collect and restore the old XS650 Yamahas. I live to ride, and I have been riding and wrenching motorcycles for nearly 50 years. My favorite ride is my 81 XS650H Yamaha, and my everyday rider is a Yam V-Star. I love bikes, photography, rock&roll and drinking beer. I can't say I excel at any of the afore mentioned. I hope I can contribute a little to this site from time to time. I also am the administrator for a riders group called Ride Ohio Mc, stop in and say hello if you get a chance.

Welcome aboard! Although I have a hard time acknowledging my Buckeye status, I do indeed reside in the state. Nice website you've got going. Maybe I'll sign in sometime. Enjoy the forums!

Cheers,
Loonette

Loonette, thanks for the greeting ! You gotta love Ohio, you roast your butt off in the summer, and freeze your butt off in the winter. Somewhere in between we get to ride. Love the helmet laws. We are the heart of it all !! Great site you have here !! Xsyamahadg.

Marysville? Isn't that where they make Hondas ? I'm from a little town called Alliance, about 15 miles due east of Canton and the Pro Football Hall Of Fame. Talk about HaySeed USA !!

Yes, the plant is literally ten miles up the interstate.

Sorry to hear you live so close to Canton. I installed carpet in one of the college dorms up there as a teenager and couldn't stand the area.

Greets from Cincinnati! Welcome and have a blast. Go Buckeyes!

Well I am similar to one of the above I have a real hard time stating I am From Ohio but I do live or should I say own a house and that it where my wife and kids are at becasue I have not been there for a while due to My career. It has taken me to some nice places and then there is where I am at now. I am from the Northwest Corner of the state I would put that out but it is not safe for me to put that information out. But in less than 21 months it will all be different. Retirement is just around the corner and my newest bike is even closer, I get it in 3 to 4 months.
My credo in which I live and work by.....

Hang in there. My brother is about to enter his 2nd tour in Iraq. Well, third really, if you count the time he went there in the early 90's. He'll be retiring in about three years.

Enjoy your new ride!

Cheers,
Loonette
