CB 400T carbs same as CB400F

I was told I ordered the correct rebuild kit for my cb400t and that is was the same as the cb400f. Now I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer but I didn't think that sounded right, but I was assured that was correct. So they come in the mail today and low and behold thet're wrong. Am I correct in not believing they use the same carbs or did I just get 2 of the same kits with the wrong part numbers?

It seems like those bikes would have the same carburetors, but I don't know that to be true so it isn't worth much. Do you know for certain the kits are for the wrong carbs?

They do not have the same carbs! I have the same problem.

I ordered rebuild kits from old bike barn and got the wrong ones. Turns out they are for a 400-4.

There must be a supplier somewhere with the wrong info because I have seen 400-4 kits on ebay selling as 400 twin kits.
