Test Ride, Yamaha Roadstar
Test Ride, Yamaha Roadstar
Today I took a test ride on the 1700 Yamaha Roadstar, what surprized me was the lightweight feeel of the bike, plenty of power but it had a cheap feel and looks to it, its oil cooled, belt drive, the disc brakes are cheap. price tag was $12,300 nooooooooooo

A real review can be found Here
I really think you should be looking at sport and super sport bikes moto, they are obviously what you're looking for in terms of performance, if not style/comfort.However, the front brake were upgraded to one-piece calipers (there are two) from Yamaha's big sportbike. They carry pads from the middleweight sporter. The result is more braking power at your fingertips with excellent control.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

the Roadstar isn't the bike for me, but for you guys that love the cruiser bikes I would highly suggest the Roadstar, it looks big, sounds great, great power and acceleration, had it up to 80mph in one block, but this bike has a light weight feel that will surprize anybody, the Honda VTX1800 is faster than the Yamaha Roadstar, but not by much. All the Yamaha Dealers are offering test rides, take one for a test ride.
