visiting Cowtown

#1 Unread post by Gnarlyroad »

Plan on visiting Cowtown thr beginning of July. Not staying long enough for the Stampede. Anything else happening around then. Any good twisty roads other than the trip to Drumheller. All ready plan on doing 1A to Banff.Kananaskis might be alright any other suggestions. Understand the traffic is horrendous true or false. Be honest now. Cowboys are terrible drivers right.Well except on a horse. :D

June 29 to July 2nd is the Superbike National at Race City. I'll also send you a link to a Hwy #40 loop ride that I posted on a competing website before the days of TMW. The road is not that twisty, but it is pretty....

Thanks highside. I haven't driven that route since it was a gravel forestry road from somewhere just past old Kananskis site(long before the Olympics). If you have traveled this way before how is the road ie lumpy, potholes , frost heaves. Thanks again for the info.
