Ahh yes, I had a CX500 custom. The UJM commonly mistaken for a cruiser.

now I have a bandit 600S. the standard thats always mistaken for a "crotch rocket"

It's all about the fairings. Fairing=ninja=crotch rocket. Unfaired=harley=dentist-bike. Those pictures show two harleys and a ninja.
