Bikers on Immigration

#1 Unread post by JC Viper »

I was watching the morning news and an interesting story is about "bikers saying the U.S. is being invaded by illegal immigrants." I wonder if this will be another bad mark on bikers.

If a debate among American riders ensue, keep it clean and such.

For those in other countries the US is stuck on the issue of illegal immigration and the fate of those here illegally is up in the air.
One thing you can count on: You push a man too far, and sooner or later he'll start pushing back.

Heh... don't worry about that being a bad mark on bikers, check out the polls... almost no one wants them here.

I'm a little upset with illegal immigration. But, to be honest, I'm MORE upset about corporate outsourcing of good jobs. Its a double-whammy. All the jobs Americans do want are going to India while the only jobs left for them to do are being taken by illegals :-D

I'm with ya all on the fact that illegal immigration is not cool, but I think they really need to crack down on anyone who is paying people who don't have the legal right to work here. Employers (usually small operations, or even a single employee thing) provide the demand. Therefor there is a supply of those who shouldn't have access to employment without going through the process. No one can survive in the country without money. Everyone who has money is doing a trade of some sort (criminal related or not), so we need to make it impossible to work here. Right now you can come to this country and find work even without papers. But I do think the borders are a joke right now anyway, so I hope they shore up that paper tiger.

I do believe Illegal Immigration is bad for both parties involved. Current residents suffer the burden for paying taxes for many services that they use and do not have to pay for. They also suffer in having greater competition for less skilled occupations. It's bad for illegal immigrants because they live in fear that they'll be taken away.

Contrary to what the media proclaims the illegal immigrants aren't here because they want to wait in the bushes, ambush you and steal your job and send the money back to Mexico. They're here because they want to be US citizens but do not have the money/time to go about it legally.

In the past manual labor has been a backbone for the US economy but now society has eased back and these types of positions are harder to come by. It's a shame, you have millions of hard working people that want to work and contribute to society but they're not given the chance. Yet we have millions of criminals in prison who drain billions from US economy, they're given opportunities everyday at living a life that is far better than that of all 3rd world countries simply because they're criminals.

I'm not saying we should give all illegal immigrants citizenship but I do think that companies who hire illegal immigrants should be responsible for educating them and assisting them in the process of citizenship. I hate it when people try to look down on these people for trying to survive without looking at themselves and also seeing that they're part of the reason.

Companies want to hire illegal immigrants because they're cheaper to hire, works just as efficiently and they keep profit margins higher. They also allow them to lower prices with minimal profit loss. This creates a great tax incentive for the government so they can ease off on taxes of citizens. People don't like taxes and want to buy products cheaper, without sacrificing quality. It's like a circle.

Without illegal immigrants many products/industries would suffer and increase in cost. In California I know many agricultural sectors would take big hits and would lose alot of productivity. It will also hurt everyday people because they will have to pay alot more money for lower quality goods.

I don't like how people throw in the idea that illegal immigrants are stealing people's jobs. Which is not entirely true. The current estimated population of illegal immigrants in the US is around 25-30 million. So in theory if people were losing their jobs to illegal immigrants than that should be an additional 25-30 million unemployed people ontop of the existing unemployed. However statistics do not prove this case and actually show that despite a rapid and large increase in illegal immigrants, the overall unemployment rate has stayed relatively the same over the past decade and over this past year it has actually improved slightly.

I am with you on this one. It is all about the dividend return to stockholders and investors.. Corporations are like "OMGz! We can hire all these CHEAP workers over here, and we will get even MORE money for all the already-rich-people! Sure, people will be upset, but the extra million per year that I am pocketing and not paying to American workers will give me solice!"

...yay capitalism. Not that I am against capitalism, but I do think that the government should tax the living shiat out of corporations who outsource over a certain percent of their work.

So the solution is to let illegals come into the country and then ship all our criminals to Mexico.

They absolutely do not want to become U.S. citizens.they want to turn our country into the same cesspool they came from.they get all the free medical care and government giveaways, then send their money back to mexico.without paying a penny in taxes.let the U.S.worker pay for it.
