i've been using chevron w/ techron premium before...

but weeks ago, i switched to shell... maybe this is just psychological but i think shell's 91 octane V power made my bike run a little better.

anyway... do you guys have a preference? and which one is it?

Costco unless someone else is cheaper. Price wins.
Ride it like you think owning it matters.

For a lot of companies the gas is all the same. Around here I know that prime, exxon, mobile (when they were separate), global and a bunch of the little guys all got their gas from the same truck, as my S/O's dad worked for the distribution company who delivered it all. I don't know if thats the case for all of them though.

Costco has sold gas for many years. So does Walmart (called Raceway or something), Sams Club, countless grocery stores, etc.

In fact, for a product that companies claim they make very little money on, a whole lot of them sure are eager to sell it.

Gas stations get their gas from distributors, and it's all basically the same gas. It starts out the same, and the only real difference is the additive package that the distributor adds for each customer (Shell, Chevron, etc.)

Buy based on price--the differences between brands isn't enough to make any real difference.

Whatever is closest when the idiot light flicks on. I prefer one with pay at the pump.

I also make sure the tank is all the way full before I leave.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
