First bike?

#1 Unread post by TotalNoob »

Hey there! I'm looking for a first beginner bike (obviously) and would like to go into the sports category. I'm young (just got my license) and will be taking the MSF course shortly, but in the meantime my parents are suggesting I start looking around for a bike! I need something that will be comfortable enough for long distance trips, as my family and I go on them often. As well as being able to keep up to speed on freeways.

Some bikes I have been looking at but have little knowledge of:

Kawi Ninja 250
Suzuki GS 500 F
Honda CBR 250 RR

Don't think it would be wise to start off with a 600 but any and all suggestions would be appreciated. As well as any input towards the listed bikes would be excellent! Thanks

Yep, we go on trips monthly though and it's time I get my own bike instead of sitting on the back they say. I have no objections lol. 8)

I would look at the GS500 or the Ninja 500. My GS500 will cruse on the highway at 80 mph with no problem. Plus it is real docile around town. I think it is a good learners bike all togeather.

I have a great list of bikes for beginners here:
www.CaliforniaBikeNights.com/learn

Take a look on there.

Any of the bikes you suggested would be good. Although, the CBR250 is not made anymore and might be hard to find.
