it is obvious that the elderly gentleman was a slow learner.
if he aint learned in 63 years to carry a Colt.45 Automatic Pistol in his belt to prevent Mr.1% from repeatedly beating him in the head then he should know now.
Oh crud, here I thought I was just late-middle-aged at 62 and now in only a few months I'll be elderly. Dang. Guess the CBR will have to be replaced with an HD.
Actually that was a pretty inflamatory headline. My first thought was that some guy in his 80's got beat up for accidentally touching a bike. Turns out the two might have known each other - why would you stop to talk to a total stranger? Those who pointed out we don't know the whole story are right. All we have is what a reporter and editor want us to know.

Because it characterises the Angel as someone involved in violent incidents.
Only violent/bad people get shot, so he must be a violent/bad person.
Okay before that sets anyone off. All the facts in that article is there was an incident. An Angel punched another man more than once, had to be restrained and was charged with two crimes. Assault, which is Assualt on an elderly person because of the other persons age, and with carrying knives - which he didnt use to open the guy up with or the people who restrained him.
There is bias in the article, the language is inflamitory, because thats what sells papers.
That all said, while things are better than they used to be a lot of Angels are still 1%'s in the true sense of the word and like every other danger out there they are worth keeping an eye on.
A friend of mine married into the Angels a few years ago. At the wedding reception proper there were 8 Angels who were Karls 'honour guard' including the treasurer and another club officer. All of them were very polite, very nice but...
There was another reception later on which was the Angels reception because Steph and Karl honestly believed that family and the general membershpi of that Angles chapter at least should not meet.
63 definitely aint elderly in my eyes. my fathers sixty in july and can still easily hold his own against guys 30 years younger. still, its wrong to hit someone simply for touching your bike.
Afterwards Mr Belding came out and made em shake torque wrenches and all was forgiven. *cue obligatory monolouge on lessons learned.
That's awesome.
