Ladies - gloves, street/race, gauntlet, good venting... ???

#1 Unread post by V4underme »

I'm looking to get something for the wife as she only uses a pair of short cuff single layer (a thin layer) leather gloves, no padding or armor of any kind. I see things around like JR High Side or Sonic gloves but they aren't vented. Leather or mostly leather is preferred, hard armor would be nice but extra padding is fine. The rest of her gear is good, but she is badly "under-gloved". By the way, she rides a Suzuki Bandit 400.

Anyone have any experience or recommendations to pass along?

I have 2 sets of Teknic gloves: one is gauntlet style all black leather with softer padding and the other is gauntlet style leather with kevlar knuckles.

I found both to be comfortable.
Ya right, there are only 2 kinds of bikes: It's a Ninja... look that one's a Harley... oh there's a Ninja... Harley...Ninja...

i wear the alpinestars sp3 gloves. they have kevlar thread in the palms. full leather. i don't think it's vented (at least I can't see any) but i've never really had a problem with sweaty palms, even on 2 hour rides here in humid NY. They also go past the wrists to tuck into your jacket. They were also pretty decently priced.. i think i got mine for about $41 on sale at a retail store. They also look pretty hot :)
