2006 Honda VTX1300..any problems?

I have been bike shopping for months now and have looked at everything including my favorite the Yamaha V-Star 1100 Classic. However, I am beening told by this forum that the 1100 Star has some problems. I like the 2006 Honda VTX1300C, and there are some real good prices to be had at this time. I read some consumer reports about the VTX1300 which stated the bike has a problem with tracking and wearing off the left side of the front tire. Also they stated there is a strange knock in the top end of the engine on some of the VTX1300s. Have any of you experienced those problems ? XS

there is supposed to be a new V-Star 1300 coming out for 07. Looks like they took the road star motor and shrunk it to 1300cc.

aside from that BubbaGump has a VTX1300 and seems to like it.

I have never heard of any problems with the VTX1300 only problem is the rear cyl intake comes loose, but its no big deal to tighten it up. I would suggest for only $800 more go with the VTX1800, same bike, bigger engine but fuel injected, its 10 times more power than the 1300.
