get back out there

#31 Unread post by varenka »

I'm going to second 05max's advice.

I have a friend that I work with that is also a commuter. My buddy went down in late fall and I went down sometime in January. He was off of his bike for about six months, and kept talking about the accident, while I kicked some things back into place and rode it home. Neither accident was very high speed or injurious, but the difference was, I got right back on the bike. My buddy just told me that he was starting to feel normal again, after riding daily for a month or so.

Good luck, man.

Sorry to hear about the spill, pleased to hear that you are OK, and like you said - it gives you a good reason to get the bike even better than it was before!

every cloud has a silver lining and all that......
Don't give up.

Not now, not soon, not after being continually knocked down.

If you never give up, you can never truly fail.

Matt, glad you're okay...I'm seeing a huge increase in reckless driving by the general public as I work, and I'm glad you weren't dealing with that at the same time.

I like riding in a small group of two or three, as I feel more visible...especially in traffic.
Ride safe...God bless!

Not another crash! Y'all are making me nervous. Actually, your mishap does serve as a lesson to the rest of us. I have yet to do a group ride. I've only ridden along with Scan, and that's how I prefer it. I suppose if for some reason I were ever riding with a larger group, I would probably just hang out last in line. Hopefully that would keep me out of trouble.

Glad that you're okay, Toyuzu - take it easy.

Cheers,
Loonette

I have a third very small reason to take it easy now. 8) I'm going to look into getting my e-bay fairing fixed this week, and I just found out a friend of mine - and MSF instructor with connections is getting me a couple of tickets to the Moto GP race at Laguna Seca in July!

Life is good, very good! :D
