How to empty the fuel lines?

#1 Unread post by pakole »

So I have a 2002 Buell Blast, and its about to be transported across the country, but the company told me that I had to empty the fuel lines, so I am trying to figure out how to do that. The MOM only told me how to empty the oil , but not the fuel. Can anybody help? Thanks.
The greatest activity to do is to serve. For no matter who you are and what you do, you have to serve someone. ... Don't you eat to serve yourself?

Assuming the tank is empty you can disconnect the fuel line from the carb and run it into a container.... but you might need to pull a vacuum or switch the fuel valve to "prime" if it has such a setting.

Or you can empty the tank and then run the bike dry. That has the advantage that the float bowl is emptied as well.
Ride it like you think owning it matters.

Providing that you have the tank empty....Start it up. should be fairly soon that it eats the little bit in the carbs/lines
