my credit card bill just arrived and i have $125.52 worth of premium gas. im sure it's all on the bike since i only use my car to go to work but that's very close so i don't use as much gas. plus, my dad borrows it a lot and he sometimes puts gas on my car.

dang! i need another job.

what's the avg gas money you spend on your bike per month?

I probably spend about 40 a month in gas for my normal commuting and in town riding. A canyon run probably costs me about 10-20 in gas depending on the distance. I have put almost 1000mi on my bandit in the 1 month that I have owned it, thats one 400 mile canyon trip and 600 miles of commuting and in town riding.

If I commute on the bike most of the time the gas bill for the car only runs about 45-50 a month, unless there is an out of town trip in there. during the winter most of the milage racked up on the car is from me commuting to work (2x 14 mile round trips a day for my wife to take me to and from work).

I'll share just so you can see ...

Gas here is €1.30 per liter. My bike has a 24 liter tank. that's €31.20 or $40.00 at current rates to fill my bike. :frusty:

Gas in my home town in Ohio is at $2.79 per gallon, add 10 cents for premium. My good friend in Ireland tells me their prices equal $6.00 per US gallon. That's a tadd expensive !

I think here on base (couple weeks ago) it was 2.71/gal for regular and diesel. Offbase though, it's about 4.50 per liter.

Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

Just be glad your bike doesn't drink gas like a boat. That's a rec ride that really eats into the wallet.
