provided it was a joke, then it was a rather dumb one and shouldn't be gotten by anyone

I like to think that ALL bikers have something in common the love of motorcycling...afterall we are a unique group of individuals that share a common interest. Most of us wave whenever possible, providing that it's safe to do so and yet I find that when travelling in the US just about everyone waves. Keep it up and show your true spirit for this great sport.

I got my first 2 waves on my new bike tonite. One was just a nod, I was waiting at the end of my driveway for traffic to clear, in gear with the wife on the back, so I couldn't wave. 'Traffic' was a guy on a beautifully restored early 80's KZ with a matching green sidecar. He smiled and nodded as he passed, I gotta meet up with him and get a better look at that rig. And later some dude on a sportbike gave me a low wave as we passed. These are the first waves I've got in this town, even though I have waved at many bikes in the last week. It was nice and warm tonight, maybe that's it. It's been too cold to pry your fingers off the bars till now....
No Witnesses.... :shifty:

Sorry to everyone that thought I wrote that story. I mentioned earlier in the post that I was gonna find it and I did. At the bottom it says who actually wrote it and he did write it for a joke.
Maybe I needed this disclaimer:

Hey man, I am sorry for gettin all jumpy about it. It's my fault, no need for you to be sorry. I just wasn't sure and I shouldn't have lashed anyways. Have a great day Sir, sorry again.

I figured he was joking, as he bashed everyone who was safe and didn't ride the same bike as him.

Ya there is no way I think that. Right now I am a Suzuki guy and what he said about not wearing safety gear is not true.
