New Rider

#1 Unread post by azsnkman »

I have never driven a bike, only ridden as a passenger. I will be taking my MSF class in here about 2 weeks and then will look for a bike afterwords. I am looking at a GS500, SV650 and maybe the ninja500.

I will be checking the forum for all the info I need and if you wanna drop some advice please do

Keeping hydrated can not stressed enough.....If you get dehydrated, you may find you lose focus....so like Karatechick posted, remember to drink lots of water.

Good luck on your intro to the world of riding. Remember, the MSF is just a beginning, keep thinking about each ride as a learning experience

welcome to the fun sport of riding. as has been mentioned stay hydrated. maybe bring some bandanas that you can soak and put onyour neck to keep your neck cool so you don't get headaches and other problems associated with hot weather riding.

as for bikes, those seem like decent choices to look at. go sit on them all and sit on ones you don't want to buy including cruisers and dual sports and even larger CC sizes, just so you can see which ones fit you better. you may find you like the seating position of some better than others.

:welcome: and Good Luck! Enjoy your MSF class. Don't rush into buying a bike until you've sat on a variety of them and find the one that's right for you.
