You'll probably need a clear windscreen if you go that route.

oh yeah, im still using the stock and it's almost a dbl bubble unlike the gixxer1K stock screen so im not in any rush to change it.

I wouldnt worry about the resolution of the cam. For web/comp viewing, those cameras work great. Won't translate to TV-quality though!

I'm sure if you mounted the cam on rubber or something that would minimize vibration.

You can try zip tying it to the gauge mount. I think that peeks right out of the windscreen.

Too much hard vibration, which the camera cannot cancel out. Makes for either a REALLY blurry vid, or a dead camera in the long run.

Speaking from experience the best angle to mount a camera at (if filming someone else) is to mount it up high on the back then lead them. You don't get to see what's coming until it happens, and you can see the front of the bike that you're filming.

It's away from the engine vibration so that isn't an issue, AND the wind is blocked by your body. Makes for some rather exciting video.

You can buy a RAM system and get this plate for your camera. (ziptie it to the plate) The good thing about the RAM system is that it's a pretty universal design and they make an attachment for dam near anything, so if you get a GPS or want to mount your Ipod, cellphone or anything like that, you'll have a place. Plus, the arms come in a few different sizes too, so you can get one that peeks over your fairing / windsheild.

There was a guy at the track day with an '06 Gixxer 750 who had a bike camera mounted on the front left fairing. I wouldn't think the picture quality would be very good if you were trying to take pictures/film through your windscreen, might wanna try and get a cheap camera!
