I see it as the total opposite. A squid to me is someone who rides barely on the edge of controlling their machine, who rides to show off with poorly executed stunts rather than for personal satisfaction, and who puts others in danger with their dumbassery. I don't care if someone wants to ride naked as long as they display some degree of maturity and respect.

I go for the squid definition as, anyone who tries to ride way above their abilities, in an area that could endanger other people.

Every time I have heard someone called a squid it is either referenced to the fact that they are underdressed and will soon look like a squid in the hospital or to the acronym that it came from: stupid, quick, underdressed, ignorant, and dangerous.
