What is your prefered brand of spark plug?

Granted I'm a diehard skeptic, but I think the Splitfire concept is a sales gimmick.

I switched my plug from the stock NGK to the projected tip NGK in my bike to help reduce surging at low rpms. It's a common thing to do in the F bikes. It helped out some.

Definitely NGK, this is the only brand to be using in japanese. bikes. Although champions seem to do OK in outboard motors, briggs, techumseh, etc.

Sticking with owners manual suggestions is probably best. That would be NGK or ND for Japanese bikes, usually. If your outboard calls for Champions, that would be the place to use them. Then when they fail, you could use them for fishing sinkers, their original intended use. Champion hasn't made a good plug since at least the '60's, IMO.

I use NGK in my bike.

I briefly thought about going to Denso Iridiums, but at 5 times the cost of my NGK plugs........you do the math.

Splitfire and any other type of muli-electrode plug will do nothing for a street engine that a regular plug won't. Save your money and use conventional plugs.

One of the magazines did a test of the Split-Fire a couple years ago, and concluded they are a total waste of money.

well, I use the ngk iridiums, i don't run cheap/stock plugs in anything, i also run k&n filters on everything, and mobil 1... with5 bikes and 6 cars, k&n and mobil love me.

G'day All

My manual suggests that I use Bosch plugs for my BMW, however they also say that NGK are accectable.

I use NGK as the one set of Bosch I tried, the top broke on the plug as I was putting it in the socket. That god I did not put it in the engine when it broke.

I use NGK

all the time and have not had a problem with them.
