I'm glad I'm not the only one wondering this.

I'd pay for it because she has a 25hr a week job and goes to school full time. and she does 95% of the cooking, and 95% of the cleaning. i am the crazy donkey who dropped out of college and got a real job. i make almost 3 times as much money as she does but we still split all the bills in half.

luckally, shortly after i posted this i found out that i may be getting a promotion shortly, it would mean a small pay raise, but more importantly it would mean a company car. if i sell my truck (6K blue book value) and i dont have to pay $800 for 6 more months of insurance on it, money will be much more available. i think what i'd do is sell the truck, pay off my motorcycle, pay ahead on my bills like take care of the next 2-3 months rent, pay ahead on my cable bill, electric bill, and water bill. than i can just sit back and collect paychecks for a few months. fun times.

Enjoy the new house, sit back and relax. Bikes aren't going anywhere, your girlfriend has plenty of time to ride. Save up your money and in 6 months or so you might be able to afford to get her all that stuff if you don't buy anything wasteful until then.
