He doesn't take any s*$% that he doesn't ask for. He's still a very new rider and relatively new to the forum and he knows better than to expect unfettered support for his unrealistic goals and lack of priorities. The guys and gals who race professionally have been on two wheels since pre-school and have worked their way to where they are pretty much their whole lives. Verm has demonstrated that he must always have the absolute best of everything right up front, but there just aren't any shortcuts to a racing career.Mr_Salad wrote:It just seems that Verm has been taking alot of s*$% lately.
Someone needs to stick up for the guy.

I kinda agree with this. I mean I am new to the forums, so maybe I missed where verm insulted somebody's mom. I dunno. But it seems to me that some of you guys ride Verm harder than you ride your bikes and get off on it. Yeah he's a young guy who likes to pay for things he could do hisself. And yeah, he gets excited about shiny new add ons for his bike sometimes. And yeah, he really likes to post about it. But is he really doing anyone any harm?Mr_Salad wrote:Learning to wrench for oneself is always a good thing. However, you have to start small. Maybe Verm should invest in a Clymer or Haynes Repair Shop manual and start doing regular maintenance by himself. And then work up to things such as suspension adjustments and tire changes etc.
I just got my bike about 3 weeks ago and am going to adjust its suspension this weekend. (Or whenever the damn Clymer manual comes in the mail) But being an engineer, I get off on stuff like that.
So I definately agree with the fact that a basic understanding of how your bike works is almost a necessary part of riding. It just seems that Verm has been taking alot of s*$% lately.
Someone needs to stick up for the guy.
