Great day for a ride

#1 Unread post by Ladymx »

Today was a great day for a ride. Even with it still being winter here in Alberta, we get the nice days in winter that are still warm enough to get out on the bike. Unfortunatly I think its suppose to snow again tomorrow, but spring will be here soon enough.

Sunday was an awesome spring day here! Around 75F during the afternoon, but the storm clouds were threatening at 4:00PM when I was able to get away, so I made my ride a short one. Still, it was great - lots of bikers out waving at each other. Ahh, the joy! :D
Let me get this straight... it's one down and four up, right?

Wow, I envy some of you that are riding already. 16F last night, 38F high for today, calling for 19F tonite and 40 tomorrow. Snow still on the ground and the roads are a salty mess. O well I'm gonna order me a new maint. free battery, change my oil, put on a set of back brakes, and hope to end this PMS in the next couple of weeks. Went thataway  Max
Live it like you mean it, this ain't no dress rehearsal!

The weather here in Los Angeles was heaven scent yesterday. Of course, I've planned a group ride with about 9 other guys for this Saturday and the forecast is for rain! I've done the naked sun dance here in my office to appease the sun gods. Anyone have any other helpful advice?

Not a bad day to ride to day, its -8 and the roads are mostly dry. It will be great when I wont have to worry about them freezing over night, so I can ride later.

Well, I put my shorts back on and now the forecast is 70% chance. Go figure. I think I'm going to write my congressman about this. Poppy is right. Property taxes are too high here for them to allow rain. 8)
