163? That's what my friend did (indicated) on his F4i... Verm, between being as fast as an F4i, and only puting 110 at the wheels, i think someone put the 600 motor in your bike without you knowing!

nah, it can go faster... i just didn't push it hard enough. i just thought it i did.

and like said, the dyno test they did on the show was crappy as i learn form others. so it's not accurate.

also, it depends on the dyno... the guy running the show said the stock 750s they ran shows around 117-120whp. they said it's lower bec of the conditions at the bike show, it's too hot plus they didn't simulate the ram air effect of my bike.

I work about two blocks from there! DOH!

You shoulda said something... I'd have gone over with you just to see what they do. :( I'm thinking of getting cartridge emulators and some springs from them.

yeah... that place.

too bad... we could have rode togethere after it too. :(

anyway... i went to ACH before i got home and i felt good, i was much more faster than last time i was there. :D

im tired right now. 135 miles of freeway + 70 miles of twisties today.

Next time you come to this side of the mountain, see if you can find Highway 39 AKA Azusa Blvd. and take it north.... you can find it from the 10 or the 210... go north until you find "east fork road" (it'll be past the second dam/reservoir) and turn right... then keep going until Glendora Mt. Road and hang another right... then take a left when it meets up with Glendora Ridge Road... follow that 'til it joins Mt. Baldy Rd. and if you've had enough turn right to go back towards civilization. If you still want a little more turn left and left up Mt. Baldy Rd... lots of switchbacks and kinda a fun ride but it dead ends and you'll need to turn around.

As far as I'm concerned that's one of the best motorcycle roads in SoCal... simply because it really is a motorcycle road....80% of the vehicles I saw were motorcycles. I doubt you'll leave 1st gear on your bike... at least not very often. I was bouncing from 1st to 3rd but that was before I changed the sprockets, now I'm thinking 1st and 2nd would cover it.

Pay attention V..... this is important.

What your messing with right now is your spring preload, I'm pretty sure from your vague discriptions. That's only one of 3 adjustments your bike has and the easiest to understand. And it needs to be set correctly. But you ain't 'adjusting your suspension'. You have compression and rebound adjustment as well, possibly high and low speed circuits on each of those as well, I don't know if the 750 does or not.

You need to adjust the comp and rebound for your and your style too. They actually affect how the damping operates, and you NEED to understand what they do and how they affect the bikes behavior before you go spinning knobs. Guessing will only screw your suspension up, settings-wise, and you will end up making the bike handle worse.

You better start reading some tech articles. And not just advertizing copy. You need to understand this before you go screwing with it.

As for finding the power limits of your bike... don't make me laugh. Oops, too late. Top-ending(or almost top-ending) a bike on a straight road is nothing like finding the power limits of anything like a motorcycle. :laughing:
