The Heat
How hot is it where you all are? Didn't know if it was deterring any riders (certainly not me, even in my unperforated leather jacket!)
It was 99 this morning with a heat index of 105. It just started monsooning though and dropped down to the high 80's.
In St. Louis my gf heard a DJ on the radio say it was 100 with a heat index of 118! (ridiculous).
How about where you all live?

I live in East Texas and right now at 3:24 PM it is 101 degrees. Just standing outside is a beating. At least it's not humid too... now THAT is hell!

99 I believe here. It has stopped me from riding during the day but I still ride mornings and evenings. I ride the SV anytime because it lacks an undertail exhaust that roasts my buns.

Here in Montgomery it is 101 degrees with a Heat Index of 106. This past weekend it was 104 and a heat index of 3 feet above hell. I rode a hundred miles but it was like riding in a blast furnace. Not very much fun for sure. If it is going to be the same this coming weekend I may putt around early in the morning and then park it for the rest of the day.

I am just thankful that I am not over there in the desert like I was 3 years ago. 124 is hot any way you think of it and 50 lbs of body armor just adds to the misery. For a while I was pouring 2 liters of water an hour down the neck of my shirt just to be able to stand it.
The guys over there now get all my prayers and respect. Worse yet they don't get to go riding at all!
