If you aren't leaning over far enough to wear the edges of the tires why in God's name are you taking your butt off the seat while leaning/turning?

i am using the edges, just not a lot. some parts on the outer edge still have hairs.

Dang Verm. I just looked at your post statistics and you average about 17 posts a day. Maybe you should be out riding your bike on the twisties more and not on the forums so much

by the look of that tyre, id say your left eye dominate.

your not as comfortable leaning right as you are left ???.

you dont need to do a trak day to use the edges of your tyre.

a flat spot is just that, usually created by locking up a brake which cause extreme wear in one spot.....your talking about squaring ya tyres from normal use..this will eventually happen with normal use as most of us dont spend all day leant over going to work and back etc.

WOW! this the 1st constructive post i got from you shane-o.

thanks.

damn it! i got the same comment on my shooting. i guess i am left eye dominant. time to learn to shoot w/ my left hand.

regarding riding, yeah, im more comfortable turning left than right bec the right hand has the throttle.

and yeah, i don't need the tracks to use the edges but i don't think i'll ever wear them out in the streets unless i ride like crazy and drag knee on the canyons. mind you, im not very tall so i really have to be leaning low and going fast for the corner to touch the ground w/ my knee.

i'll keep on practicing. :D

I think you'll be sliding across the pavement before you touch your knee.

Dont worry about the chicken strips. I ride freeway commutes and make 4-5 turns a day. My tires are nearly bald in the center and look brand new on the edges.

If someone could teach me how to ride in a straight line leaned to one side so I can even out my wear and get more life out of my tires, I'd be all set.

You won't even hear the comments from the dealer techs when they change your tire, so don't sweat it!

really? that sucks!

you mean i'll low-side and won't be able to hold this kind of lean angle even if i maintain a good throttle control?
